Acro Yoga

We Believe We Can Change the World
By Lifting Others

We live, breathe, and create acro almost every day of the week! There is something for everyone here. We aim to unify the St. Pete community through movement. We want to bridge the gaps between all forms of fitness, people, and ages to help fight against mental health issues.

What is Acro Yoga?

It’s the combination of yoga and acrobatics! Acro Yoga is typically practiced with a base, a flyer, and a spotter.

St. Pete Acro Yoga as a nonprofit was formed in 2022, but has been a part of the community for much longer. People travel not only across the Tampa Bay Area, but from all over the globe to meet up, share their knowledge, and learn new skills in a fun, safe environment.

Together we meet to collaborate, create, communicate, and challenge each other. Not only will you gain strength, mobility, and body awareness, you’ll also gain a community of incredible friends who will cheer on your successes and encourage you to grow in ways you never knew were possible.

We need your support to build this community.

Together we are bolder, braver, stronger

About Us

St Pete Acro Yoga is a team dedicated to outreach, reveal, and introduce more people to AcroYoga while providing a safe place for introductions and warm welcomes.

Mission for Movement

We want to bridge the gaps between all forms of movement/fitness to help fight against mental health issues.

Acro Yoga is a special practice that requires a partner. The physical side will enhance an individual’s strength, stability, flexibility, and body awareness. The internal side teaches life lessons such as boundaries, positive communication, and consent. Acro Yoga also builds friendships with strong bonds of trust.

We established a non-profit organization to give a larger meaning and purpose behind our shared activity. To be use as a tool to bring people together, help support one another, and provide opportunity to each other. We are looking for ways to help and or support local charitable organizations in the fight against mental health issues here in St. Petersburg.

Building Our Community

We are a community founded on simple acts of kindness. Selflessly giving our time to share skills, knowledge, and experience with others.

We are a community built on lifting, supporting, and building confidence. We empower and encourage others to grow and expand out of their comfort zones. We use progressions, drills, supportive spotting, and positive communication to create a safe space for the “scary things” to seem possible. Helping individuals overcome their limiting beliefs.

We are a community that accepts your best self, acknowledges that your best is different everyday, and accepts that your best is good enough. We provide a sacred space for positive touch and human connection for adults to play like a kid again. We include all ages, shapes, and sizes to participate. We lead others by example and inspire individuals to embody these behaviors when lifting others.

CORE VALUES

Impact

Making a difference in the world. A positive influence and inspiration in the lives that we reach and connect with.

Inspire
